Matt and I moved to Hanover with the intention of renting for a while to make sure this was our correct fit. Well, it has been one and a half years and our lease is up at the end of March.
We have initiated the process of looking to buy a home.
Why? First, rent just sucks...its expensive and its gone. Second, we really need to build some equity. Third, dream house/property is eventually owning my parent's home and renovating which is above our monthly budget range without building some equity from another home.
Problem is...we live in Hanover. Could it get any more complicated?! There are 2 school districts. Within these 2 districts are Hanover Bourough, Penn Township, Manhiem Township, and West Manheim Township. Each has different taxes, school taxes, zoning issues, rules for parking, fees for water, etc. Then there is the surrounding area. New Oxford, Spring Grove area--great, good schools--but getting a little far away from the Grandparents. There are different houses in each area and we are just trying to balance house with area.
We are searching high and low for the perfect house for our little family of 3 with some growing room. So keep us in your prayers and thoughts as we venture on this fun (and expensive) journey.
We have also begun to consider owning. Definitely pray about it and let God lead you guys to where He wants you to be. We will definitely be praying!
