Matt and I got some practice by playing with and helping with the girls (Matt changed 2 diapers!) We built sandcastles, played "phones," read books, played puzzles, etc. I discovered car seat buckles are tricky, a touch screen phone is fascinating, there's nothing like having a little girl grip your fingers and practice walking, princess clothes are awesome, and that a little girl can like carrots one day, hate them the next, and then gladly eat one 5 minutes after declaring a hatred of carrots for a lemon square. I had the wonderful delight of discussing motherhood with Kaethe and got some really wonderful resources and ideas. As well as some borrowed onsies and an exersaucer. It was so much fun to catch up and see how the girls are growing!
The wedding was beautiful and we are so happy to see our long time friend John Hogg married to the fabulous Darcy. We were also able to see many of our friends, some of whom we had not seen in years! We look forward to many more years of friendship with the new Hogg family.
